RESPONSIBLE GAMING AT TAOS MOUNTAIN CASINO!
At Taos Mountain Casino, we take Responsible Gaming seriously and consider problem gambling as any gambling behavior which negatively impacts the lives of individuals which results in serious personal, financial, or legal consequences. Problem gambling takes two major forms: compulsive gambling and underage gambling, which affect both our guests and our employees. Taos Mountain Casino considers problem gambling a serious issue that deserves a proactive response from our industry and, as such, we are a member of the Responsible Gaming Association of New Mexico.
WHAT WE ARE DOING
We take positive steps to address problem gambling because we never want this behavior to harm our guests, employees, business operations, communities or industry. We have committed human and financial resources to promote education and awareness of compulsive gambling among our guests and employees, and we've put in place policies and practices to deter underage gambling and discourage compulsive gambling. Taos Mountain Casino is Committed to Promoting and Supporting, to the Fullest Extent Practical, Responsible Gaming. If you need information or assistance for problem gambling, visit www.rganm.org.
WHAT IS PROBLEM GAMBLING?
Problem Gambling is any gambling behavior, which causes a disruption in any major area of an individual's life whether it be psychological, physical, social, financial or vocational. The term "Problem Gambling" includes, but is not limited to, the condition known as "Pathological", or "Compulsive" Gambling, a progressive addiction which is characterized by increasing preoccupation with gambling, a need to bet more money more frequently, restlessness or irritability when attempting to stop, "chasing" losses, and loss of control manifested by continuation of the gambling behavior in spite of mounting, serious, negative consequences.
