Description

BASIC PURPOSE:

Keeps records of financial transactions for establishment. Complies and maintains accounts payable records.

TYPICAL FUNCTIONS: include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Ensure vendors are paid timely and accurately without exception.
  • Assemble and review for accuracy all vouchers for payment including account coding.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries.
  • Analyze vendor accounts to ensure only authorized transactions are invoiced and paid.
  • Prepare weekly vendor payments and submit appropriately for authorized signature.
  • Distribute appropriately signed vendor checks timely.
  • Maintain accounts payable files in compliance with the casino record keeping requirements.
  • Prepare analysis of vendor accounts accurately and timely, as required.
  • Assist with accounts receivable and special projects, as required.
  • Verify, allocate, and post details of business transactions to the accounting system from documents such as purchase requisitions, vendor invoices, credit card and sales receipts, contracts and other supporting documentation.
  • Perform, prepare and maintain monthly physical Food and Beverage inventory.
  • Prorate expenses to be debited or credited to each department for budgeting control.
  • Review for accuracy the daily general Ledger journal entry and posted to the accounting system by the Revenue Auditor.
  • Relief Revenue Auditor two days weekly and for additional PTO coverage. Responsible for the Typical Functions of the position.
  • May be requested to perform other duties as directed by management.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Must have a valid New Mexico Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to obtain a gaming license through the Taos Pueblo Gaming Commission
