OVERVIEW:
Under direction from the Tourism Operations Supervisor, monitors parking facilities to provide efficient and safe parking for all vehicles, residents, employees, and visitors.

QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma/GED
• Driver’s license (• High school diploma/GED.
• Six (6) months of security or customer service experience preferred.
• A combination of relevant education and related work experience may be considered.
• Valid New Mexico driver’s license with ability to meet Pueblo liability insurance requirements.
• Must successfully complete a drug test and background check with no prior felony convictions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Monitors and inspects parking lots to ensure compliance with parking policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Reports observed activities, conditions, grounds, or equipment that may adversely affect safe operation of the parking lot.
- Prepares accurate and detailed reports on incidents and safety concerns.
- Assists with opening and closing parking lot.
- Responds to guest questions and complaints.
- Communicates necessary information to next shift monitors.
- Maintains all parking lot property and areas in clean and operable condition.
- Enforces and supports tribal policies, security protocols, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Works closely with Security Officer and other staff to ensure coordinated safety efforts.
- Assists community members, employees, and visitors courteously, providing directions or support as needed.
- Facilitates regular staff meetings to ensure effective communications about expectations, activities, and progress.
- Maintains professionalism at all times.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
- Takes an active role in assisting the Operations Supervisor in daily operations.
- Assists with new employee orientation, training, and coaching.
- Participates in regular meetings to ensure effective communication about department expectations, activities, and progress.
- Maintains a positive work environment by motivating team members, fostering teamwork, and addressing and resolving conflicts.
- Enforces adherence to administrative and personnel policies and procedures.

Knowledge of goals, policies, tribal communities, cultural protocols, tourism environments, and parking lot operations.
Strong customer service, observation, problem-solving, emergency decision-making, written and verbal communication, confidentiality, professionalism, and ability to work respectfully with diverse populations.
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations, prepare reports, use handheld communication devices, analyze situations, and follow written and verbal instructions.
Demonstrates professionalism, vigilance, and respect for the traditions and sovereignty of Taos Pueblo.
