OVERVIEW: Tourism is a Taos Pueblo entity. The Parking Monitor position is a significant part of the
Tourism Department daily operations. Parking Monitor positions require long periods of being
on your feet and working in all seasonal elements. The first point of contact for each visitor is
the Parking Monitors; it is the responsibility of each Parking Monitor to greet each customer
with respect and a friendly demeanor.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma/GED
• Driver’s license (NM Identification Card or Tribal Identification card for 17 years and
under are valid)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Customer Service skills (training will be provided)
• Running
• Long periods of standing
• Dealing with all elements in every season
• Parking Monitor positions are subject to working odd hours, holidays, and other
events related to the Tourism Department.
• Monitoring traffic is key; each customer should be greeted and directed where to
park and/or given other information if necessary.
• Other duties apply as assigned.
